Teachers & Technology Grant Program Awards Nearly $90,000 To Minnesota Teachers

photoThe Minnesota Business Partnership Education Foundation and CenturyLink have announced the 2014 winners of the CenturyLink Teachers & Technology Grant Program.

The Teachers & Technology program is a competitive grant open to Minnesota public and private school teachers. The program, administered by the Minnesota Business Partnership Education Foundation, aims to improve E-12 education by:

  • Recognizing teachers who are finding innovative ways to integrate technology into their curriculum and teaching practices to improve student achievement.
  • Raising awareness of how teachers are finding creative ways to use technology to improve learning.
  • Modeling best practices of technology integration and application.

Since 2007, the Teachers & Technology program has awarded over $500,000 to teachers across Minnesota. Over the past two weeks, CenturyLink and the Minnesota Business Partnership made surprise visits to the winning teachers in their schools. From iPads to science labs, teachers will use grant funds to transform learning across the state.

Grant winners are selected after a competitive process. A blue ribbon panel of Minnesota teachers and past grant winners selected 19 winners this year out of 110 applications from across Minnesota.
